Description
This good size solid silver hip flask was made by the reputed James Dixon & Sons and is hallmarked for Sheffield 1916. It has a curved rectangular form designed to fit comfortably in a pocket.The hallmarked hinged domed lid with bayonet locking mechanism.
Excellent gauge of silver, it feels satisfyingly heavy.
Flat narrow pedestal base allowing the flask to stand upright.
Hallmarks:
JD&S for James Dixon & Sons.
Sheffield Assay mark.
Lion Passant.
Date letter "y" for 1916.
Condition:
Excellent
No dings or dents.
Good lid.
