Description

This exquisite Edwardian silver sugar basket was made by Alfred Marston and is dated Chester 1906.
The vase-shaped silver body with a wirework middle section and a pierced frieze border.
The sides with an articulated pierced handle with beaded borders.
Raised on a circular pedestal foot
Fitted with the original Bristol blue glass liner.
Hallmarks:
AM for Alfred Marston
Lion Passant.
Chester Assay mark.
Date letters "F" for 1906.
Condition:
Very good condition.
No losses to the pierced decorations.
Wirework in very good condition.
Foot and handle in excellent condition.
Glass in very good condition.
Dimensions:
Height up to handle: 15cm / 6 inches.
Rim diameter: 8.5cm / 3.2 inches.
Foot diameter: 6.5cm / 2.5 inches.
