Description

This delightful small size Edwardian silver pot pourri box or pomander was made by the celebrated William Comyns and is dated London 1905. Pomanders are very sought-after and this is an unusual example. Of bulbous circular form, the pierced lid with a central circular panel depicting the Reynold's Angels pattern, a very collectable subject matter . The pull-off lid opening to reveal a silver gilt interior.
Hallmarks:
WC for William Comyns.
Date letter "k" for 1905.
London Assay mark.
Lion Passant.
