Description
This very elegant pair of Georgian Old Sheffield plate coasters dates circa 1800. Wirework wine coasters are very desirable and pairs are rather rare. The wirework sides forming arches under a wavy border.Turned fruitwood base.
Green baize to the underside.
Condition:
Wirework in excellent condition.
Copper showing through at places.
Wood has a few marks.
The green baize is very good, most probably a Victorian replacement.
