Description

This exquisite pierced silver butter dish bears the marks of the illustrious Mappin & Webb and is dated Birmingham 1933. Of circular form, the sides pierced with exquisite lattice designs and raised on fleur-de-lys capped feet. The dish flanked by elegant pierced lug handles and fitted with its original uranium opaline glass liner. Completed by a well matched silver butter knife by Levi & Salaman dated Birmingham 1926
The glass liner with a smooth pontil base.

Date letter "J" for 1933.
