Description
This very pretty and unusual Victorian silver cream pail is dated Chester 1899. Of oval form, the silver body pierced with trailing floral patterns surrounding a vacant cartouche on each side. Beaded border and articulated handle. Fitted with the original blue glass liner.Hallmarks:
GN over RH for George Nathan & Ridley Hayes.
Lion Passant.
Chester Assay Mark.
Date letter "Q" for 1899.
