This decorative pale solid oak bridge box is mounted with embossed silver corners and silver lettering. It is dated Birmingham 1905 and bears the marks of the prolific Levi & Salaman. These type of playing card boxes, complete and in good condition, are rather scarce and this is a lovely example.
The cover is applied with the word Bridge in silver letters. The silver corners with ribbon-tied decorations.
Green leather interior and "Jaques" retailers marks to the inner lid. The box contains a Jaques set of cards with matching green pencils.

This exquisite and rather unusual Georgian silver tape measure dates circa 1820. The cylindrical body decorated with a fine honeycomb pattern. The winding mechanism functioning, the tape a lttle frayed at palces making the winding and unwinding a little tricke, One needs to be patient and gentle. The turquoise silk tape unwinds to a length of 10 inches by being holding onto the side of the tape measure and pulling gently on the tape extremity. It can be wound back by turning the top cover clockwise. it is a wonderful example in excellent condition.

This fabulous Victorian amethyst glass flagon decanter and stopper is mounted with an embossed silver collar by the renowned Henry Matthews. The presence of the Duy marks dates it to pre 1880. This style of flagon decanter (often referred to as onion or compressed claret jug) dates it circa 1875. The back with a very decorative clear glass "celery" handle, The neck with a faceted clear glass stopper.The hallmarked siler sleeve embossed with a fruiting grapevine design with trailing leaves and scrolls.
