Of oval form, surrounded by laurel leaves to one side and oak leaves to the other. The top surmounted by a crown. The base with a ribbon embossed with Queen Victorian commemorative dates and the letters V R for "Victorian Regina". Still retaining the original green moire silk lining and red leather back and easel.

This delightful Dutch silver tape measure dates circa 1830. The cylindrical pierced body within fine engraved decorations. The winding mechanism modelled as a coffee grinder handle. The pink silk tape unmarked and fitted with the original silver end. It can be pulled gently by the silver end and wound back by turning the handle clockwise. it is a wonderful and rather uniquer example in lovelycondition.
