Description
This exquisite Edwardian silver and botanical inspired guilloche enamel scent bottle or dressing table jar is dated London 1905. It bears the marks of Robert Friederich, silversmith & importer; originally from Germany. The pale oyster coloured enamel lid decorated with a spray of orange flowers. It is fitted on a cylidrical clear glass body . The lid opens to reveal a gilt interior and the original stopper.Hallmarks:
RF for Robert Friederich (active in London between 1902 an 1905)
Import mark.
925 for silver purity.
Date letter "k" for 1905.
Condition:
Very good.
Glass in very good condition. No chips or cracks.
Minor bloom, commensurate with age and use.
Minor surface wear to silver lid and enamel.
