Description
This exquisite mid-19th Century French opaline glass scent bottle is attributed to Baccarat and dates circa 1860. The bell-shaped white opaline glass body applied with a pink opaline glass coiled snake heightened in gilt. The main body decorated with gilt fruiting vines decorations. The flared rim with gilt decorations and fitted with the original tulip shaped stopper, very much a Baccarat design .Dimensions:
Height: 15cm / 6 inches.
Base diameter: 10cm / 4 inches.
Rim diameter: 5cm / 2 inches
Condition:
Very good.
No chips, no cracks.
Gilt decorations rubbed at places, commensurate with age.
Stopper in very good condition, no chips.
