Description
This superb and very rare 19th Century French enamelled glass casket is a real show stopper measuring an impressive 11.5 inches long. It was most probably originally a glove box, given the generous dimensions. The bevelled rectangular body a rich turquoise colour. The brass bound hinged domed glass lid beautifully decorated with white enamel floral sprays. Shown in image 2 with a coffee can to illustrate the generous proportions of the casket.Dimensions:

Good hinge.
