Description

This unusual and rather delightful silver mounted amethyst glass scent bottle is dated Birmingham 1914 and bears the marks of the prolific Levi & Salaman. The bell-shaped amethyst glass body heightened with enamel flower garlands. Mounted with a fully hallmarked hinged silver lid. The lid engraved with Gothic style initials. The neck with clear glass stopper.
Hallmarks:
L&S for Levi & Salaman.
Lion Passant.
Birmingham Assay Mark.
Date letter "t" for 1914.
Dimensions:
Height: 11cm / 4.3 inches.
Diameter: 6.5cm / 2.5 inches.
Condition:
Good.
No chips, no cracks.
Silver lid a little uneven at places.
