Description
This fabulous late Georgian, hand-blown, Prussian-shaped spirit decanter dates circa 1825. The body with three applied annular neck rings. The shoulders and base cut with broad petal flutes and the mid-section engraved with exquisite star motifs. Polished out pontil mark to the base and hollow star-cut stopper. Sold with an Old Sheffield plate wine coaster from the same period. Would be a lovely addition to the Christmas table.Dimensions decanter:
Height: 26 cm / 10.2 inches.
Base diameter: 9.5cm / 3.6 inches.
Condition:
Decanter in very good condition.
No chips, no cracks.
Clean interior.
Old Sheffield plate coaster in good condition. copper showing through at places.
