Description

This delightful and very unusual George III silver caddy spoon was made by the London silversmith Robert Rutland and is dated London 1807. The leaf-shaped oval bowl with a textured background and embossed with veined decorations. The plain shaped handle with vacant reserve, the back fully hallmarked. Leaf-shape caddy spoons are very collectable and this is a lovely example.
Hallmarks:
Maker's marks partially erased but identifiable as those of Robert Rutland.
Date letter "M" for 1807.
Duty Mark.
Lion Passant.
Condition:
Very good.
No repairs.
