Description
This superb double struck basting spoon in the King's Hourglass pattern was made by Robert Gray & Sons and is dated Glasgow 1824. This large basting spoon is the much sought after Hourglass Kings pattern. It boasts a hefty weight and feels wonderful in the hand. The quality is superb, it is indeed rare to have a double-struck Scottish example. The condition is good with very little wear to the decoration or bowl.Hallmarks:
RG&S for Robert Gray & Sons.

Glasgow Assay Mark.
Lion Rampant.
Date letter "F" for 1824.
