Description
This delightful 19th Century French silver and opaline glass scent bottle dates circa 1870. The rich turquoise opaline glass body of waisted form and mounted with a fully hallmarked hinged silver lid embossed with flowers. The neck fitted with a clear glass stopper.Hallmarks:
Boar head in a lozenge (French mark for small articles) on both lid and neck.
Dimensions:
Height: 9.5cm - 3.6 inches.
Maximum width: 3cm / 1.2 inches.
Depth: 1.5 cm / 0.4 inches.
Condition:
Very good.
Glass in very good condition.
Was most probably gilded at some point.
Inside of neck in excellent condition. No cracks.
Silver lid in very good condition.
