This simple and elegant solid silver string box is dated Birmingham 1903 and was made by the silversmith Hamilton & Co. Of plain cylindrical form, with a hinged domed lid. The lid with 3mm diameter hole dispensing string or twine.Hallmarks:

Date letter "d" for 1903.
