Description

This exquisite George II silver mote spoon dates circa 1750 and bears the marks of Thomas and William Chawner, specialists and very fine flatware makers. Very often, marks on mote spoons are unclear, so it is wonderful to be able to identify the makers. The bowl pierced with scrolls and crosslets. .
Hallmarks:
TC over WC struck twice for Thomas and William Chawner.

Very good bowl with no loss to pierced decorations.
Clear maker's marks.
