Description

This is an exquisite George III silver double ended marrow scoop hallmarked for London 1779 and bearing the marks of William Sumner & Richard Crossley who worked together from 1775 to 1782. Of conventional double ended form, the larger bowl engraved with an armorial crest of a heron.
Hallmarks:
WS over RC for William Sumner & Richard Crossley.
London Assay mark.
Lion Passant.
Date letter "d" for 1779.
