Description
This delightful Victorian solid silver strawberry set is dated London 1891 and bears the marks of Johnson, Walker & Tolhurst Ltd. Presented in the original fitted case, it consists of a sugar bowl, cream jug and sifter spoon all with rich gilded interiors. The bowl and cream jug of bulbous form with reeded handles, the sifter spoon by John Aldwinckle & Thomas Slater and dated London 1885.Hallmarks:
W.W. over B.T for Johnson, Walker & Tolhurst Ltd (Walter Walker & Brownfield Tolhurst).
London Assay Mark.
Date letter "Q" for 1891.
