This beautiful George IV silver snuff box was made by Thomas Purver and is dated London 1828. Of conventional oblong form, both front and back with reeded decorations The hinged cover with a raised foliate thumb-piece. The interior gilt wash.
Exquisite flush hinge.
Original rich gilt interior.
Hallmarks:
T.P for Thomas Purver.
Duty Mark.
London Assay Mark.
Date letter "n" for 1828.
Condition:
Excellent.
Good hinge .
Interior gilding in original condition.
Shuts nicely.
