Description

This is a very decorative and unusual set of three 19th Century French amber glass apothecary jars. Each with the original etched glass label and "tole peinte" cover. The etched label with Latin inscriptions "Tinct" meaning tincture. One for Vanilla, the other Cinnamon the other coconut palm, which are rather evocative of some exotic shores. The necks with the orginal red litho painted tole lids, showing signs of age with wear to the paint and oxidisation. The bases with smooth pontil marks.
