Description
This elegant silver jewellery box was made in Birmingham in 1917 by Walker & Hall. The domed circular cover with reeded engine-turned decorations within a raised pie-crust border. The centre with vacant reserve. The plain circular body raised on three cabriole legs.Gilt inner lid and Royal blue silk interior.
Black Morocco leather base.
Hallmarks:
W&H for Walker & Hall.
Birmingham Assay Mark.
Lion Passant.
Date letter "s" for 1917.
Condition:
Good to average.
The reserve with minor surface scratches and one pin size ding.
Sides a little uneven.
Strong hinge.
Clean interior.
