Description
This is an unusual Victorian carved acorn-shaped needle and thread holder complete with spool and threads. It is made from Tagua nut from the South American ivory nut palm, more commonly known as "vegetable Ivory". The carved top unscrews to reveal a cylindrical spool, complete with needle and thread.Dimensions:
Height: 5cm / 2 inches.
Diameter: 3.5cm / 1.5 inches.
Condition:
Very good condition for its age.
Unscrews and screws up well.
Complete interior, which is not often the case.
