Description
This delightful silver mounted and pique tortoiseshell jewellery box was made by Edward Souter Barnsley and is dated Birmingham 1921. The hinged cover decorated with a delicate floral garland. The plain circular silver base raised on three fleur-de-lys feet. The domed lid opening to reveal a royal blue satin and velvet interior.Black Morocco on the underside.

Condition:
Good.
No loss to silver pique decorations.
Maker's marks partially rubbed but identifiable.
Tortoiseshell lid a bit dull.
Silver sides with one minor crease, commensurate with age and use.
Strong hinge.
Clean interior.
