This exquisite and unusual continental silver and guilloche enamel compact has import marks for Glasgow 1929 and is further hallmarked by F B Reynolds, who specialised in imported items. It is enamelled all over: front, back and sides. always a sign of quality. The hinged lid inset with a pierced hexagonal reserve applied with marcasite decorations. The inner lid with the original mirror. It is a beautiful and tactile piece.

date letter "E" for 1930.
