This relatively rare solid silver pin cushion in the form of a bulldog was made by Adie & Lovekin and is dated Birmingham 1905. It is full of character, looks adequately grumpy and is in very good condition. Fitted with its original green velvet cushion.

This rare George V solid silver sewing compendium is dated London 1913 and bears the marks of Carrington & Co. Of plain cylindrical form housing a three division reel centred by a needle case and cover. The inner cover lined with velvet and fitted with an associated silver thimble. This is a cleverly designed and still very functional silver piece. These sewing compendium are scarcely seen in such good and complete order.

This exquisite and rather unusual Georgian silver tape measure dates circa 1820. The cylindrical body decorated with a fine honeycomb pattern. The winding mechanism functioning, the tape a lttle frayed at palces making the winding and unwinding a little tricke, One needs to be patient and gentle. The turquoise silk tape unwinds to a length of 10 inches by being holding onto the side of the tape measure and pulling gently on the tape extremity. It can be wound back by turning the top cover clockwise. it is a wonderful example in excellent condition.

This delightful Dutch silver tape measure dates circa 1830. The cylindrical pierced body within fine engraved decorations. The winding mechanism modelled as a coffee grinder handle. This George V silver thimble was made by the reputable Charles Horner and is dated Chester 1922. It is fitted in a gorgeous egg-shaped ormulu thimble case. The outer case chased all over with foliate scrolls and fitted with a suspension chain. The side with a thumb-piece opening to reveal the original interior fitted with pink silk and crushed velvet. So often, the interior of these holders are missing. This is a beautiful complete example.
